Henry Cavill Confirms He is no longer Superman

Man of Steel star Henry Cavill took to Instagram to express his disappointment at not being able to reprise his role as Superman in the new DC Universe, as the studio scrapped plans for Man of Steel 2.

Cavill stated that he will not be returning to the role after meeting with DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran, despite the fact that he respects the fact that they "have a universe to build" and wishes them the best of luck:
