Marvel's Blade Gets NEW Writer & Director

The Hollywood Reporter first reported that Marvel Studios had hired Yann Demange to direct the MCU's Blade reboot (THR). Demange is best known for directing the pilot episode of HBO's Lovecraft Country, and he will collaborate on the script with Michael Starrbury (When They See Us).

Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but the new direction is expected to be darker and more gritty.

THR also revealed that the studio intends for Blade to begin production in Atlanta in 2023, likely maintaining its September 6, 2024 release date.
