Venom 3 Ditches Venom Let There Be Carnage Director

Kelly Marcel will direct Sony Pictures Venom 3 starring Tom Hardy. This isn't surprising given Marcel's role as writer and producer on the first two Venom films.

Marcel will also serve as a producer alongside Hardy, as well as write the screenplay based on a story developed by the two. Producers include Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker. According to Deadline, Hardy and Marcel "have always been on the same page" when it comes to shaping Venom's story, with the pair knowing exactly where to take the titular anti-hero's next chapter. Marcel is also known for writing the first film in the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise.
